TAFE

TAFE Experience

Andrews High School started the first chapter of TAFE last year. This year, the chapter's second year, was my first year being involved in TAFE. I'm currently in Principles of Education where it was mentioned at the beginning of the school year and explained what the organization was about. I have friends who also mentioned TAFE last year, and it gave me a curiosity about what TAFE was about and what you did.

For my first year, I decided to compete in the Interactive Bulletin Board Contest for Elementary, which was over counting money. I also decided to compete in Project Visualize - Appreciation. It was over a project that was started last year called SHIFT (Students Help Inspire Fabulous Teachers) where we gave appreciation to our teachers for being amazing. What made it fun and exciting was the fact that the TAFE students had to keep it anonymous when delivering special goodies and notes to our teachers. Then we did a big reveal breakfast. Finally, I competed in Inside Our Schools, which was over the Teacher Academy that our school started last year. It was so fun to film and edit while creating the video that I put together for my group. I am excited to be competing at Nationals for Inside Our Schools this summer!
